What’s the first thing you do when you meet someone new? You ask him to tell you his story. Stories in marketing enhance relationship building on purpose.
Sharing our story, as what we have gone through combined with what has been learned from it, is what helps other people in similar life situations.
Story telling creates engagement and builds relationships
Done on purpose, creates powerful emotional transportation.
Communicating well requires: effort +intention with an ‘on purpose message.
Think of it this way…
We can all agree that everyone is an individual and not one person’s life-path that is the same as another person’s life-path.
We can also agree that amongst these different life-paths, though some of them will be different than the next, many of them will have similar qualities. And of those with similar qualities, the individuals experiencing ‘said moments’ will be at different points of that specific journey.
ie: Regardless of who you are and what journey you’re on, 98% of the time, there will always be someone who has already experienced what you’re experiencing now; who (if you listened to their story) would inspire you in some sort of way or anther.
In fact, if I asked you to think of someone who’s story who inspires you, who would that be? And how has their story changed your life?
Now keeping that in mind, I invite you to be open to the concept that YOU are currently head of someone else on whatever journey that YOU’RE ON, and they are looking for words of encouragement or success from exactly you!! You could potentially change their life, as well.
Though this topic may sound a bit over the top, at first, remember this: We each need to take pieces from each story we hear.
For this reason, many stories will touch us at different times in different ways.
For Example, a lady I admire very much shared a piece of her story which included how she went from $0 to 6-figures online in her 1st year!!
Discover how she faced obstacles and why she didn’t let any challenges step in her way in the video below.

Your story is valuable, your story matters:
Remember, You are not alone. Somebody somewhere has had a similar situation, tragedy, adversity, challenge….. or is currently experiencing it now. And for the later of the two; they need to hear your story, so they know they are also, not alone
The biggest reason people fail when they start a home based business is because they don’t believe they’ll ever make it and they quit. BELIEF is everything.
I’ll say it again: BELIEF is everything.
Since moving forward toward my dream lifestyle, I have seen that there are so many people in the world who are just like I was a short time ago. Because of this, and because I’ve been sharing my story in the manner that we teach, those individuals are beging to find me. This has enabled me to utilize my experience’s (both good and bad) to help resolve their problems and that’s what on purpose marketing does!
For those of you who have been following me, you know that I use Facebook as a way to document my family’s adventures and to get my story out, to reach more people and change more lives.
WHATEVER YOUR CURRENT CIRCUMSTANCE IS IN YOUR LIFE, KNOW THAT YOU HAVE THE POWER TO CHANGE IT.
Everything in this life can be taught if you are willing to listen and learn and follow the directions of those who have gone before you.
What You May Not Know About Stories In Marketing….
As stated in an article in Huffington Post;
The magic happens when you take facts and figures, features and benefits, decks and PowerPoints — relatively soulless information — and embed them in the telling of a purposeful story. Your “tell” renders an experience to your audience, making the information inside the story memorable, resonant and actionable. This is the heart and soul of the emotional transportation business which is using the power of your story to bring to life the call to action that you want from your audience.
The above quoted article was referring to a book Tell To Win by Peter Guber.
